Abubakar Ahmed, better known by his stage name Blakk Rasta, has returned awards he received in the past.
He received these honours by way of a vote. Blakk Rasta claimed he doesn’t want to participate in any voting-based award programs.
The outspoken media figure informed the Ghana DJs Awards organizers of his plan to return their awards in a post that we were able to see.
He added that it didn’t feel ethical to him to sell honours to the highest bidder.
The host of 3FM said he was not proud of preserving the plaques.
Until the issue of corruption sorted, Blakk Rasta wants his name excluded from all future awards schemes.
