Though the ‘Freedom Wave Concert’ which was organised by multiple award-winning Afro-dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, and award-winning rapper, Medikal recorded the biggest turnout, the megalithic question on the lips of many, especially on social media is whether or not the two musical heavyweights were able to fulfil their inordinate dream of filling the Accra Sports Stadium.
While some SM fans who were at the Stadium are saying the two music giants filled the stadium, some SM fans who were also present are with a different conviction that their President and his best friend couldn’t achieve their inordinate goal.
Coincidentally, a photo which has really gone viral where Shatta Wale is seen displaying his entire body to patrons by donning only his black boxers is trying to be a justification that the ‘Like my thing’ hitmaker and his ‘Wrowroho’ hitmaker-friend never filled the stadium.
In the photo, while Shatta Wale was performing, you could clearly see numerous empty seats at the popular stand.
Frantically, it’s evident that most die-hard SM fans are street boys who wouldn’t be able to afford VIP tickets which went for Ghc100 – meaning, the popular stands that went for Ghc20 would definitely be their preferred locus.
Most patriots of the SM President would argue that some of the fans were fatigued so they opted to leave. But, the weighty question is: Which die-hard fan would buy a ticket to go and watch his/her Idol artiste perform and wouldn’t wait for the artiste who doubles as the main act of the event to complete his/her performance before leaving?
