Legendary Highlife musician, Daddy Lumba has made an astonishing revelation that he is who he is today because of former group member Nana Acheampong.
After going their separate ways 30 years ago as a group known as ‘Lumba Brothers’, on January 1,2023, Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong opened the year with a concert dubbed KAB-FAM Legend Night.
While addressing patrons of the sold-out concert which was held at the Accra International Conference Centre, Daddy Lumba attributed his success in the music industry to Nana Acheampong.
According to the ‘Aben Woha’ hitmaker, ‘Nana Acheampong introduced me to highlife music…this is the genre that has sustained my career till today”.
Lumba explained that he was once a gospel musician before he met Nana Acheampong in Germany and he introduced him into highlife music.
“When I first went to Germany, I used to sing only Gospel Music. The person who introduced me to highlife is the man standing next to me..I’m who I am today because of him”. He revealed
