Outspoken entertainment pundit Sally Mann has jumped to the defence of popular radio presenter cum Reggae Musician Blakk Rasta for claiming that Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie isn’t the right artiste to be featured in the new rendition of Bob Marley and the Wailers band’s classic ‘Stir it Up’.

‘Stir it up’, originally released in 1973 is a song the late Jamaican music great wrote for his beloved wife Rita Marley, a year after their marriage.

Expressing his view about the song on his show, Blakk Rasta described Sarkodie’s verse and rap as a desecration of the holy music and dip to the legacy of the late legendary Reggae artiste.

The ‘Barack Obama’ crooner emphasized that the legendary Bob Marley would have been unhappy with the Ghanaian rapper’s contribution.

He has thus received hefty backlash from some media and showbiz personalities such as Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, Bulldog, and Nana Aba Anamoah for making such a comment.

But reacting to Blakk Rasta’s comment, Sally Mann jumped to the defence of the popular radio presenter by indicating strenuously that Sarkodie never deserved the feature.

The outspoken entertainment pundit explained to Ghanaweekend.com that initially she was against Blakk Rasta’s comments until he showed her proof that the late Reggae legend never wanted to collaborate with artists who do different genres.
