Presided over by Justice Olivia Obeng Owusu, a High Court in Accra has heard testimony in the case of Deborah Seyram Adablah, who is suing Ernest Kwasi Nimako, whom she says to be her “sugar daddy,” for allegedly breaking a promise to take care of her.

The former National Service employee of First Atlantic Bank and her former boss, who was also employed by the bank, have been ordered by the court to submit their written arguments before February 23, 2023.

Ernest Kwasi Nimako is being sued by Deborah Seyram Adablah for allegedly breaking a caretaking arrangement during their sexual relationship. Deborah also brought the bank where she completed her community service to the court.

According to a publication by Graphic Online, the bank has in the meantime asked for the dismissal of seven writ paragraphs in an application dated January 24, 2023, “on the ground that they show no plausible cause of action.”

Paragraphs 7,8,9,10,11,31,32,33,34,36 and 37 which were requested to be excluded comprise portions of the writ that accuse the bank of watching on for female workers being harassed sexually by senior male officers of the bank.

The young lady trended online after she infamously made a record as the first mistress to drag her sponsor identified as Ernest Kwasi Nimako to court for reneging on his promise made to her during their sexual relationship.

The young woman, Deborah Seyram Adablah is asking the court to force her man Mr Nimako, a senior officer of the First Atlantic Bank and a deacon at First Baptist Church to fulfil his promises to her – that is to buy her a car, rent a place for her and pay her monthly allowances.

Deborah claims that she began seeing her sugar daddy when she was performing her national service. Per their ‘contract’, he provided her with a car, rented an apartment for her at Labadi and offered her ₵3,000 monthly income.

However, along the line, he couldn’t sustain the ‘contract’ and this has compelled her to use the court to fight for her right.

She claimed that he used the assurance that he would secure funding for her to launch a business to persuade her not to accept an employment offer when her national service was completed.
