Ace Ghanaian actor and farmer, John Dumelo has announced his intentions to contest for the Ayawaso West Wuogon ticket of the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the party’s upcoming parliamentary primaries.
The biggest opposition party opened nominations for its upcoming presidential and parliamentary primaries onTuesday, February 23, 2023.
However, Dumelo was rumoured to be looking at ditching the Ayawaso West Wuogon in the Greater Accra Region for Santrofi, Akpafu, Lolobi and Likpe (SALL) which falls within the strongholds of the NDC in the Oti Region.
But In a tweet sighted by Ghanaweekend.com, the celebrated actor said he had arrived at the decision following a deliberate consultation.
“After an extensive consultation with my God, my family and our party faithfuls in Ayawaso West Wuogon! This’s the second coming,”
This is the second time the actor will be contesting for the ticket after winning it but lost in the 2020 election to the New Patriotic Party’s Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
