American rapper , Joseph Guillermo Jones better known as Jim Jones has named Canadian rapper Aubrey Drake Graham popularly known by the stage name Drake as the best Hip-Hop artiste of all time.
Jones has collaborated with Hitmaka on a joint project called “Back In My Prime”
As part of the promotional activities, Jim Jones who was speaking in an interview with Complex was asked about his recent appearance at the Apollo with other Dipset members during Drake’s show.
He delineated that the recent experience of performing at the Apollo alongside other Dipset members during Drake’s show felt like a moment of completion.
Jones added that Drake acknowledged their contribution to the genre and gave them the recognition they deserved, which was a gratifying experience.
When asked about Drake’s place in hip-hop history, Jim Jones bestowed upon him the title of “greatest of all time.”
The rapper and the music video director then highlighted the familial connection between Dipset and Young Money, noting that they were all part of the same extended family within the music industry.
“Drake has a lot of respect for [us] coming up listening to Dipset music,” he said. “So, it just was a full circle [moment], you know what I mean? It was dope. He gave us our flowers that a lot of people don’t give us. That we deserve. So, I really tip my hat to him.”
