Popular award-winning musician, Efya has made an astonishing revelation that she was editing her mother’s popular TV show ‘Greetings from Abroad’.
Efya is the daughter of Nana Adwoa Awindor, a filmmaker and celebrity host who became a household name following the popular and Ghana’s first international link TV show ‘Greetings From Abroad’ show.
Speaking on the Doreen Avio show, Efya noted that it was fun growing up and had a lot of activities, including editing her mother’s shows.
Due to her personality, she could gel with people and they related to her nicely when she stepped out with her parents at the time.
She said: “I was a very outspoken child and very confident so I didn’t have a problem with blending in. While growing up it was fun…There were a lot of activities including editing my mother’s shows…anywhere I’d go, I’d find a way to make myself fit in one way or the other.
Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor, better known by her stage name Efya got her first exposure to fame when she participated in the maiden edition of the Stars of the Future talent show.
She won Best Female Vocal Performance at the Ghana Music Awards in four successive, beginning in 2011.She was applauded for her performance at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
