Popular Ghanaian singer  Fameye has been compensated with the amount of GHc25,000 by a fuel station that sold him fuel laced with water.

The incident which occurred on March 15, 2023, affected the engine of his Honda Pilot 2019 model.

The popular musician put out a tweet recounting how he had purchased fuel for ¢700 at a fuel station, only to discover that his car was not functioning properly after driving for a short distance.

Although his car has now been fixed, Fameye expressed his disappointment and sadness over the entire situation.

After sharing his encounter, some social media have also bared out their ugly experiences of similar encounters at various fuel stations. In some reactions to the tweet, some netizens  urged the musician to file a complaint and take legal action against the entity responsible for their negligence and damage caused to his car.

The fuel station involved in the incident has since compensated Fameye with GHC25,000 for the damages caused to his vehicle.

Known in real life as Peter Famiyeh Bozah, Fameye who hails from  Bogoso is best known for his single “Nothing I Get”. He released a remix of the song which featured Article Wan, Medikal and Kuami Eugene.
