Popular Nollywood actress Empress Njamah’s lover turned blackmailer George Wade has been arrested.
Njamah and Wade made headlines when the former opened up about how Wade had threatened to leak her nude videos he had in his possession in February this year in a cryptic post on Instagram.
Following threats to broadcast the naked videos, Wade was said to have created a WhatsApp group on January 1st, 2023 and shared some of the videos sparking a furor online.
Taken to her social media to confirm the arrest of her ex-lover, Empress Njamah shared a video of Wade being led out by security operatives in handcuff with the caption “Our God is not asleep.”
Njamah’s Nollywood colleagues, including Tonto Dike and Nkechi Sunday Blessing, who had shown concern for the actress and demanded for the blackmailer’s arrest ever since the scandal surfaced, have also expressed support and delight over his arrest.
Tonto shared a video of his arrest with the caption “congratulations my sister @empressnjamah. Finally this disgusting hoodlum has been caught.
