Multiple award-winning sound engineer and musician Nacee has revealed that his father died when he was just 3 days old.
Growing up, the music producer and gospel singer faced numerous challenges and hardships, including poverty and a lack of opportunities.
His mother ,who was a devout Christian,believed that prayer was the key to overcoming these obstacles.
Speaking in an interview on Onua FM, Nacee divulged that his dad died when he was 3 days old and his mother would take him to the beach to pray for him and cry out to God on his behalf.
According to him, since his mother never wanted to disturb the neighbours, she resorted to praying at the beach.
Nacee revealed sadly,” My dad died when I was just 3 days old. I never met my dad. I only know he comes from Barekese. My mother did not want to lose me because of what my dad went through. The trauma she went through was too much so she made sure she protected me with all she had through godliness and discipline,”
A teary Nacee continued,” “My mother did not overpamper me because I was the only child. She was very strict but was soft when she had to be and introduced me to God. Even after I was framed for something I did not do and she asked me at age 15 to return home, I said no and she really cried but I had my decision and I followed through with it. She believed in me when no one else did, and her prayers gave me the strength to pursue my dreams,”
