Rapper, Black Sherif has made a historic trip to his hometown ‘Konongo’ in the Ashanti Region to celebrate his title as ‘Artiste of the Year’ at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards [VGMA]
Before the victory, Black Sherif had pledged to celebrate with friends, family, and fans if he emerged as the overall ‘Artiste of the Year’ at the 24th edition of the Ghana Music Awards.
The trip back home witnessed a massive welcome from the entire township, who came out on the streets to receive their superstar, the man who has been making waves in Ghana and the rest of the world through music.
As part of the activities to mark the celebration, the celebrated rapper visited the Chief of Konongo, Nana Abedimesa at his Palace where he presented the coveted artiste of the year award to him.
Nana Abedimesa with much elation lauded Black Sherif for being a pronounced ambassador for Konongo. He urged him not to relent in working harder.
