British-Ghanaian musician, Papa Kwame Amponsa, known in showbiz as Mista Silva has premiered his new song dubbed “REAP” featuring rapper Manifest in Ghana.

The event took place last Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Bayview Village in Accra.

The song was premiered together with an awe-inspiring music video which was admired by many industry players who turned up at the event.

Speaking to the media at the event, Mista Silva expressed excitement at the reception received so far and called for more collaboration and bridge the gap between musicians in Ghana and those abroad.

According to him, there is a need for unity to take Ghana music to the world.

“We have Ghanaian musicians outside, let’s come together link up and work with global distributors around the world to get our music at the top,” he said

Mista Silva expressed appreciation to Manifest for coming on board to show him love.

Manifest on his part urged Ghanaians to stream the new song on all music digital stores as a form of support to Mista Silva.

He also called for more support for Mista Silva and other Ghanaian artistes in the diaspora to make things bigger.

Mista Silva, is a British-Ghanaian musician from Brockley, London with origins from West Africa Ghana.

Mista Silva released his debut EP, Full Vim, in 2012. Its success led to a record single deal with Polydor Universal in 2014.

His first afrobeats releases in 2012, Full Vim and Boom Boom Tah, combined the attitude of funky house, the edge of grime and the party spirit of hiplife to offer up music in tune with the Azonto craze that was taking over at that time.

These hits and others such as Now Wats Up? were hyped as much by BBC1Xtra as by the Guardian and saw Silva help build the Afrobeats audience in the UK alongside the likes of Fuse ODG and DJ Abrantee.

Then a deal with Polydor in 2014 took him off course with the mainstream-leaning single Green Light.
