Burna Boy, a Nigerian megastar, performs in a sold-out concert in France.

Afrobeats is quickly becoming one of the world’s most popular music genres, and Burna Boy is one of the performers that is bringing the music to a global audience.

On May 20, 2023, the Grammy winner performed at the La Défense Arena in Paris, France as part of his ‘Love, Damini’ World Tour.

The hitmaker sold out the 40,000-person Arena, an incredible success for an African musician.

Burna Boy sang songs from his Grammy nominated 6th album ‘Love, Damini,’ which included smash singles such as ‘Last Last,’ ‘For Your Hand,’ and ‘Its Plenty,’ which was released in 2022.

He also thrilled listeners to some of his vintage recordings that span 5 albums and footage from the concert uploaded on social media showed fans singing along to his 2018 smash record ‘YE’.

Burna Boy has become Africa’s most acclaimed musician internationally since earning international prominence with ‘YE’ in 2018. ‘African Giant’ got him his first Grammy nomination in 2019. With his fifth album, ‘Twice As Tall,’ he was nominated for a Grammy in 2020.

Burna Boy has established himself as a world-class musician with sold-out concerts in some of the world’s most prestigious locations, including Madison Square Garden, the O2 Arena, the Toyota Centre Texas, and a number of other sites throughout Europe.

On June 3, 2023, the Grammy winner will become the first African to headline a gig at London’s 60, 000-person capacity London Stadium.
