Ghana’s fastest-growing television station CitI TV marked its 5th anniversary on Sunday , June 4,2023.
A lot of activities were lined up to commemorate the occasion. Amongst these activities included a thanksgiving prayer service which was held at the station’s plush premises at Tesano in Accra, before climaxing the celebration with a party for staff at the Palladium Bay Hotel at Abokobi.
The service was led by Citi TV’s resident pastor, Rev. Mawuli Tsikata, and other members of the station’s management team including the Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Attah-Mensah, and General Manager, Bernard Koku Avle, who took turns to address the staff.
At the Palladium Bay Hotel, the staff enjoyed a variety of activities, including swimming, dancing, Karaoke and playing games. The day was capped off with a cake-cutting ceremony.
However, one of the captivating moments that characterized the event was the live band performance by fast-rising Ghanaian songstress Abigail Mensah better known as Naana Blu.
Immediately the MC, Nana Tuffour introduced Naana Blu on stage to perform, there were clamorous Cheers from the staff. She spent twenty minutes on stage – during which she classically performed her hit songs which includes her latest single “Cartoon”.
The peak of her unblemished performance was when she performed Iconic Nigerian songstress Sima’s hit song ‘Duduke’.
The ‘Kwame Ato’ crooner delivered a spirited performance to the admiration of all.She did not exert much energy while performing her songs as the staff grasped each one of them and owned it.
Her technique on the microphone and her coordination with the band were pure class. She has never disappointed with her superlative stage performances and her performance at the Citi TV’s 5th anniversary was no exception.
