Veteran Nollywood actor Don Brymo Uchegbu has died. He was 56
The actor passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, June 14. His colleague, Mayor Ofoegbu, confirmed the news on Facebook.
“Plan for tomorrow but live for today. Tomorrow is not guaranteed,” Ofoegbu wrote. “I wrote those lines on my WhatsApp status yesterday evening. My man, my 5 & 6, Don Brymo Uchegbu, passed away in his sleep.”
Ofoegbu said he received the news this morning and had to verify from Don Brymo’s family. He expressed his sadness at the loss of his friend.
“Chai Don Brymo my manchi. It’s hard to say goodbye,” he wrote. “Nnukwu nwa na Enugu ukwu.”
Don Brymo hails from Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka LGA of Anambra.
He officially joined the film industry in 2000 and has acted in several movies, mostly playing the role of a chief. He will be remembered for his talent and his dedication to his craft. His death is a loss to the Nollywood industry and to the Nigerian film community.
