Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has responded to rapper Sarkodie’s song about their alleged abortion, which she claims he abandoned after impregnating her.
In her memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” Nelson said that Sarkodie pressured her to have an abortion after she got pregnant with his child. She said that he was not ready to be a father and that he did not want to take responsibility for the pregnancy.
Sarkodie responded to Nelson’s claims in his song “Try Me [Raw],” which was released on Wednesday.
In the song, he denies pressuring Nelson to have an abortion and says that he told her to keep the pregnancy.
In a series of tweets in response to Sarkodie’s song, the ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’s author divulged that he was “trying to rubbish a pain a young woman felt.”
Sounding overly disdained, Yvonne said that ,”We both have daughters and that I would like to see what life throws at them.”
