Nigerian singer Iyanya was surprised to find himself featured in Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson’s memoir, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson.”
The musician had no idea that he was a character in the book when he recorded a video endorsement for it.
In an interview with Starra FM, Iyanya said that he was hurt when he found out what was in the book. He explained that he had done the video endorsement out of love for Nelson, but that he was disappointed that she had written about their relationship in such a negative way.
Yvonne Nelson’s memoir details her failed relationships with several musicians, including Iyanya and Sarkodie. In the chapter about Iyanya, she accuses him of cheating on her with actress Tonto Dikeh.
However, she also describes their romance as a dreamy affair, complete with intimate gestures such as breakfast in bed. Iyanya has not yet responded to the allegations made in Nelson’s memoir. However, he has said that he was hurt by her words.
Known in real life as Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, Iyanya, is currently in Ghana to promote his latest EP, LOVE & TRUST.
