Akwaboah, a multiple award-winning contemporary Highlife musician, has expressed interest in collaborating with Cielo Bee, a contestant on the fifth season of the Voice Factory, Ghana’s biggest music reality show.
The fourth week of live performances for the competition came off on Saturday, July 8, 2023. On the night, Cielobee’s performance of “Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston was a transcendent experience that took the audience and the judges to another level.
Her magnificent performance won her the Golden Mic for the second time in a row, setting a new record for the competition.
Ironically, Akwaboah, who was a guest judge on the night, was so impressed by Cielobee’s performance that he offered to collaborate on a song with her.
The Ghanaian music sensation joined two regular judges, sound engineer and entertainment pundit Fred Kyei Mensah, popularly known as Fredyma, and songstress Edinam Bright-Davis, to judge the competition.
“I like your smile, your vocals, your attitude,demeanor,I don’t have anything to say, you are very talented. You can meet me backstage later…we may end up doing a song together”. Akwaboah said
Cielobee was overcome with emotion after hearing the “Obiaa’ hitmaker’s offer. With Akwaboah’s help, Cielobee is well on her way to becoming a star. She is actually the odds-on favourite to win this season’s Voice Factory.
The Voice Factory is a music competition organised by Citi TV with support from 97.3 Citi FM. The show is aimed at providing a platform for young individuals to showcase their extraordinary talents.
The other contestants in the Voice Factory Season 5 competition are Titi, Ernest, Jerry EL, Seyiram, AG Wilson, Princess, Bella, Manuel, and Rigwello.
