Fans who thronged the +233 Jazz Bar & Grill to catch a glimpse of this year’s ‘Homowo Concert’ had the fun of their lives.
They were thrilled by Adane Best, Lady Talata, Epixode, Adotey Tetor, and many others. The concert, which was held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, was a celebration of the Homowo festival, a Ga traditional harvest festival.
The festival is a time for the Ga people to give thanks to God for the harvest and to celebrate the victory over hunger.
The concert kicked off with a performance by up-and-coming songstress Esi. She was followed by legendary Lady Talata, who enchanted the crowd with her energetic performance. She was joined on stage by Fiifi Sellah
Adotey Tetor followed with a sumptuous rendition of his popular songs including ‘Aku Shika. The crowd went wild as Epixode brought the house down with his energetic performance.
Adane Best, the headliner of the concert, took the stage next and delivered a confounding performance of his classic songs,
The crowd sang along to every word, and Adane Best showed why he is considered one of the greatest highlife singers of all time.
The ‘Homowo Concert’ was a huge success, and it was a night that the fans will never forget. The performances by Adane Best, Lady Talata, Epixode, and Adotey Tetor were simply electrifying, and the crowd was left wanting more.
