Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay has opened up about her recent near-fatal car accident. Speaking to Hit FM’s Andy Dosty, Shay explained how the accident happened.

“I had finished creating some content for my new song, ‘Every Man Cheats,’ and was heading home…I felt a big push from behind all of a sudden upon reaching my junction. I couldn’t help but scream ‘Jesus.’ I entered a gutter before I realized it. I can recall blacking out after hitting my head against the dashboard and was rushed to the hospital.”

Shay disclosed that she sustained injuries during the accident, including a fracture in the nasal bone and an inflammation on her face. Medical checks revealed that she was doing well later on.

She further stated that her personal assistant, who was with her in the car, sustained no injuries. Reflecting on the incident, Shay said, “It was a very big shock, no one saw this coming. It’s by the grace of God that I’m seated here.”

The ‘Masakra’ crooner made a surprising claim, however, suggesting that the accident did not occur naturally, but was a spiritual attack. She insisted that she knew the one behind her accident and that her manager was being blamed for it.

“Those who wanted to kill me know themselves first,…They’re trying to blame Bullet. It wasn’t Bullet. The attack wasn’t natural. I can only say they know themselves, but I won’t mention their names. They can never kill me.”
