Kanye West recently made some controversial remarks about Cardi B in a leaked video from 2018, calling her an “Illuminati plant” and saying that she doesn’t write her own raps.
However, Cardi B has responded with a throwback video of West singing her praises in a 2022 interview.
In the leaked video, West is heard saying, “Cardi B is a plant by the Illuminati.
She doesn’t write her raps. She’s just there to sound as ignorant as possible. She’s literally replaced Nicki Minaj purposely. They put her there, and now she doesn’t know what to do. She has no idea what the f*** is going on.
She thinks it’s a blessing from the universe, it ain’t no f###### blessing.”
However, Cardi B took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a video of West talking positively about her during a 2022 interview with Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee. In the video, West says, “I always believed in her since she was on the show. Period.”
Cardi B captioned her post simply with a red heart emoji.
It’s unclear why West would make such negative comments about Cardi B, especially since they have collaborated on music together in the past.
In 2022, they teamed up with Lil Durk on the song “Hot Sh*t.”
Cardi B has spoken highly of West in the past, saying that she has learned a lot from him and that he is an “amazing, sweet person.”
