Highlife sensation, Anthony Kwabena Amoah, known by his stage name Abakomahene, has debunked rumours surrounding his latest hit, ‘Don’t Mind Your Body.’
The song, produced by Kin Dee and celebrated for its highlife vigour, delivers a message of self-acceptance.
The song has been linked to popular socialite and actress known for her cosmetic surgery advocacy Moesha Boduong, following her severe health downturn.
Moesha Boduong, once vocal about her body modification journey, inspired many to follow suit. However, her health has taken a worrying turn, stirring public concern after a distressing video depicted her incapacitated in a hospital setting.
Reports emerged of a stroke leaving her right side paralyzed, igniting a wave of sympathy and a crowdfunding initiative by her brother aiming to gather $10,000 for her medical bills.
Amid this, the timing of ‘Don’t Mind Your Body’s release led to rampant speculation about its intent, with many drawing lines to Moesha’s predicament.
But in an interview with GhanaWeekend, Abakomahene clarified, ” The song is not aimed at mocking Moesha… I didn’t do the song because of her…When I dropped the song some weeks ago, it coincided with the news about her sickness so people are attributing it to her”.
