Popular Ghanaian comedian Mmebusem, known for his “Ghana Jesus” skits on YouTube, has finally addressed the series’ sudden end.
Real name Justice Hymns, Mmebusem captured audiences with his humorous portrayals of Jesus Christ in everyday situations. However, the series abruptly stopped without explanation, leaving fans wondering.
In a recent interview with One Ghana TV, Mmebusem revealed the reasons behind his decision. While the “Ghana Jesus” videos enjoyed immense popularity, particularly online, they faced opposition from his family, particularly his mother.
“They felt the skits mocked Jesus Christ rather than offering pure entertainment.”
The ”Ghana Jesus” skit actor also mentioned receiving criticism and warnings from Ghanaians, especially religious figures, who disapproved of the content.
