The family of late legendary Nollywood actor John Okafor, known by fans as Mr Ibu, has announced plans for a multi-day celebration of his life.
In a statement, the Okafor family expressed their desire to honour “our hero and legend” whose legacy of humour and warmth will continue to bring joy.
The funeral will take place in Mr Ibu’s hometown, Amuri, Enugu State, Nigeria, starting June 25 and concluding on June 30.
The family invites all who knew and loved Mr Ibu to join them as they mourn their loss and celebrate his life. Mr Ibu passed away in March 2024 after a courageous battle with illness.
