Celebrated Ghanaian actress and producer Yvonne Nelson has revealed her intentions to organize another vigil in the country.

It has been more than three months since the return of chronic power outages in Ghana. Initially, the outages were brief, giving consumers hope that power would be restored in less than five minutes but it turned out to be a test to see what the ECG’s power outage “timetable” would look like.

The Electricity Company has been called upon to share a timetable for load-shedding to aid consumers plan their lives.

The response, however, has been one that can be termed “disrespectful”, “unfortunate”, and “unexpected” by the sector minister, Mathew Opoku Prempeh saying that those who are calling for the timetable should bring theirs if they so need one published.

In 2015, Yvonne and IMANI Ghana organized a massive protest against the John Mahama government, bringing together many celebrities over the power outages.

However, in a post on X, Yvonne Nelson called on Imani Ghana to organise another massive vigil against the Akufo-Addo government.

According to the celebrated Ghanaian actress, she has been waiting for Imani Ghana to reach out like they did years back.

“Imani Ghana, can we organize another vigil? I’ve been waiting for you to reach out like you did years back. ( your team made our demo a success ) I’m reaching out myself. The NPP and its leadership

@NAkufoAddo have taken Ghanaians for granted. #DUMSORMUSTSTOP” She said
