President Akufo-Addo has conferred citizen status on American musician and songwriter Stevie Wonder.
Stevie Wonder arrived in Ghana on Monday, May 13. The 74-year-old American music icon who is in the country with his family will hold both his American citizen and that of Ghana.
At a brief ceremony at the Jubilee House, Mr Wonder expressed delight at the honour done him.
In 2021, Stevie Wonder announced his decision to permanently relocate to Ghana.
Known in real life as Stevland Hardaway Morris, Stevie Wonder is credited as a pioneer and influence by musicians across a range of genres that include R&B, pop, soul, gospel, funk, and jazz
