The final burial rites of the late Veteran Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu is happening at his hometown, Amuri in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Mr. Ibu is being laid to rest today, June 28. A viral video circulating on social media shows pallbearers carrying his casket to the cemetery for burial.
Family mourners and members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) attended the funeral. His burial ceremony will be wrapped up on Sunday, June 30 with a church thanksgiving for family members, friends and sympathisers.
A statement from the family in April announcing the funeral arrangement said the late actor will be buried on June 28, 2024, in his hometown Amuri, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.
Mr. Ibu passed away on March 2, 2024 at the age of 62 after a prolong illness. He is survived by his wife and three children.
