Ghanaian musicians who have identified themselves as supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) were spotted at the official unveiling of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as running mate to the flagbearer of the party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
The event which took place on Tuesday, July 9 at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region had various dignitaries from the party in attendance.
Gospel musician Diana Asamoah, an avid supporter of the party took to the main stage and performed some of her hit songs to the huge crowd urging Ghanaians to vote for the party.
Sidney Kofi Ofori popularly known as Barima Sidney followed suit and performed the official campaign songs for the party to the excitement of the audience and party supporters.
Dancehall artiste, Samini, Rapper Guru and Hiplife artiste Praye Tiatia also came on stage to greet the party dignitaries and the President.
The official unveiling of ‘NAPO’ follows the party’s confirmation of the decision to unanimously select him as the running mate to Dr Bawumia in the upcoming December elections.
