Nigerian music star Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie popularly known as Patoranking has been appointed as the regional goodwill ambassador for Africa by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
This appointment, which is for an initial period of two years, recognises Patoranking’s commitment to empowering African youth and promoting innovation and enterprise development.
As a regional Goodwill Ambassador, Patoranking will champion various initiatives aimed at building the innovation ecosystem in Africa, promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and supporting the Timbuktoo initiative.
He will also use his platform to inspire and mobilise young people to take action on these important issues.
Patoranking’s personal story of overcoming adversity and achieving success despite financial challenges makes him an inspiration to many.
In the past, he has demonstrated his dedication to giving back by fostering entrepreneurial leaders and creating educational opportunities for underprivileged students.
In his new role, Patoranking will continue to use his voice and influence to make a positive impact on the continent.
