Radio personality Nana Romeo has asserted that Sarkodie is undoubtedly Ghana’s greatest rapper, regardless of age or tenure in the industry.
His stance comes on the heels of Graphic Showbiz‘s list of the 12 greatest rappers of all time, which placed Sarkodie at the top spot.
While some have argued that Sarkodie’s career is still evolving and needs more time to mature, Nana Romeo firmly believes that his achievements in the rap genre surpass those of his predecessors, including Obrafour.
According to Nana Romeo, comparisons between Sarkodie and other rappers, including Obrafour, are unfounded, as Sarkodie’s accomplishments in his career far outweigh those of his peers, regardless of age or experience
“It shouldn’t be about age and how long someone has been in the industry. Life is about your achievements. Life is not about how long you have been in an industry. It is about the accomplishments and Obrafour comes nowhere near Sarkodie. With the number of years Obrafour has been in the industry, can you mention three International collaborations he has had? No, it is difficult because Obrafour didn’t get himself out there as Sarkodie has done since coming to the music scene.
Whether we like it or not, Sarkodie is our greatest rapper, and no one comes before him. We have rappers who come after him but there is no one who can be compared to him,” he said.
