Day one of this year’s This is Ghana Exhibition took place at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly [AMA] on August 31.

The highly anticipated two-day trade fair organized by Channel One TV/Citi FM featured over 300 exhibitors, providing a platform for local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), startups, research and manufacturing industries, home-grown businesses, and indigenous corporate bodies in Ghana to showcase their products and services.

Apart from Ghana’s second Lady Samira Bawumia’s presence, another moment that characterised the fair was the performance of the famous Indigenous band Kwan Pa

Led by the charismatic Hassan, the band’s rich blend of Ghanaian sounds, featuring the distinct palm wine music they’ve championed for the past five years, had the audience moving and grooving.

Kwabena Safo, Nanay Oweni, and Kwame Agbahoasi Minamo wove their magic on local instruments like the twin bell, Kobe, and rattle, creating an unvacillating soundscape.

Their back-to-back hits not only entertained but also oscillated with the exhibition message.

The This Is Ghana Exhibition, with Kwan Pa’s electrifying performance as its centrepiece, became more than just an event.

The This Is Ghana Exhibition which will end on Sunday, September 1, is proudly sponsored by MTN, KOA Natural, Ghana Gas, Ghana Pay, Built Financial Technologies, Peeva Beverages, Global Shea Alliance, Eximbank Ghana, National Petroleum Commission, and Aramex Logistics.
