The first runner-up of the inaugural season of Big Brother Naija in 2006, Francisca Owumi has passed away.
Her family announced her demise on her Instagram page with a simple yet heartfelt message: “A daughter and sister. May her soul rest in peace, Amen.”
According to reports, Owumi died after a brief illness. Recall that she was a memorable contestant on the show, known for her energetic dance moves and charming personality.
After her reality TV stint, she pursued her passion for music, releasing two singles, and also worked as a writer for an international magazine based in Ghana.
During her time on the reality show, she competed with current show hosts, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Katung Aduwak, and Gideon Okeke amongst others.
