Ghanaian media mogul Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray, has been announced as one of the key speakers at the upcoming Global Town Hall 2024, a prestigious global event focusing on major international issues.

The event, organized by the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (FPCI), will take place on Saturday, 7 September 2024.

Bola Ray, CEO of EIB Network and Empire Ghana, will contribute his insights during the session titled “Moving Global Financial Reform Forward: Make It Work for the Global South.”

This session is set to address the systemic inequities embedded in international financial institutions, with a focus on how these imbalances affect the Global South.

In a post shared on social media, Bola Ray emphasized the importance of discussing these financial challenges, writing, “The session will critically examine the systemic inequities embedded within international financial institutions and frameworks that often exacerbate economic imbalances between the Global North and South.”

He encouraged global citizens to register for the event and join in the dialogue aimed at pushing forward financial reforms that will create a more equitable economic landscape.

The Global Town Hall 2024 is a 15-hour marathon dialogue bringing together world leaders, policy experts, and leading minds from across the globe. It serves as a platform for high-calibre discussions on pressing global issues.

Since its inception in 2020, the Global Town Hall has featured notable speakers, including the President of the European Commission and foreign ministers from countries like Indonesia, Australia, China, and South Africa. The event has garnered participation from over 30,000 attendees across 140 countries.

This year’s Global Town Hall, which is organized in collaboration with over 150 global partners and think tanks, promises to once again be a vital forum for addressing key challenges such as financial reform, climate change, and global health.
