Highlife star AratheJay has shared the incredible story behind securing Black Sherif’s feature on his track ‘Jesus Christ 2’.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on The Chat on Channel One TV, AraTheJay explained that it was a stroke of divine luck that led to the collaboration.
“It wasn’t a planned move…I’m truly grateful to God. Black Sherif was busy working on his album, but he still took the time to jump on the song and deliver that amazing verse. I’m incredibly appreciative of his contribution.”
The song which was released less than a week quickly climbed the charts, reaching the top spot on Shazam and Apple Music.
When asked about his reaction to Black Sherif’s agreement, Arathejay known in real life as Samuel Ankrah described it as “crazy.”
He recalled waking up to find a video of the recording session in his team’s group chat. “They didn’t even tell me beforehand. When I heard his verse, it was mind-blowing,” he said.
