The 2024 Taabea Ghana Music Awards[TGMA-UK] will take place on October 19, 2024 at the prestigious Grand Sapphire Hotel in Croydon, UK.

The awards ceremony, now an annual staple in the global Ghanaian music calendar, will showcase some of the best talents in Ghanaian music.

Known for his mastery in blending hip-hop and Afrobeat with local Ghanaian rhythms, Sarkodie will be the main act on the night.

Joining Sarkodie on stage will be an exciting lineup of both legendary and contemporary Ghanaian musicians, ensuring a night filled with musical diversity.

Highlife sensation Ofori Amponsah, alongside Barosky and Kofi Nti, are set to bring their timeless tunes to life, evoking nostalgia and celebration among the audience.

Gospel star Esther Smith will also grace the stage, likely lifting spirits with her soul-stirring melodies.

Reggae/Dancehall artiste Epixode, renowned for his energetic performances, will add a different flavour to the event, while Charles Kalah, Alice McKenzie, and Kofi Badd will showcase their versatile talents to entertain the crowd.

Newer faces such as Star Vicy, Kimilist, and Theo Vesachi will also take the stage, representing the fresh wave of Ghanaian talent making waves in the industry.

The iconic Akosua Adjepong, one of Ghana’s pioneer female musicians, will also perform, adding a rich historical element to the show.

With her decades-long contribution to the Ghanaian music scene, her performance will be a nod to the past, reminding fans of the depth and legacy of Ghanaian music.

Another act that will have fans excited is Afro-Gospel music sensation Joseph Matthew. Joseph Matthew’s unique style and influence on Afro-gospel music has earned him a following across the UK and Ghana.

In the 2023 edition of the Awards, the ‘King’ of Afro-gospel won the ‘Best Gospel Song’ of the Year award for his hit song ‘Blessed’.

He has been nominated in three categories at this year’s event. ‘Highlife Song of The Year UK, Highlife Artiste of the Year’ and ‘Artiste Of The Year UK’.

Joseph Matthew, whose latest smash hit “Fear No Evil” is making waves, is a strong contender for all three awards according to many industry experts.
