Legendary South African musician, Yvonne Chaka Chaka has arrived in Ghana for the 2024 African Legends Night concert on Saturday, October 5.
Yvonne Chaka Chaka arrived at the Kotoka International Airport on Thursday afternoon with a tumultuous welcome.
Yvonne Chaka Chaka is one of the headline acts for this year’s African Legends Night, joining an esteemed lineup that includes Ghana’s own Okyeame Kwame, George Jahraa, and Adane Best.
The music icon was greeted by officials of Global Media Alliance, the event organisers and some selected Media and some fans
Speaking to on Citi FM’s morning show, the legendary South African songstress expressed her excitement to be back in Ghana, a country she considers her “home away from home.”
“Ghana has always been kind to me, and I am ready to give my all to the audience on October 5th,” said Yvonne with a beaming smile.
Yvonne Chaka Chaka’s music has stood the test of time, with enduring classics like “Umqombothi,” “I’m Burning Up,” and “Thank You Mr DJ” making her a beloved figure in African music.
