The 2024 African Legends Night concert, held at the Grand Arena inside the Accra International Conference Centre[AICC] on Saturday, October 5, provided a memorable evening of music and entertainment.
Since its inception, the African Legends Night has become synonymous with excellence in music and entertainment, consistently delivering world-class performances that celebrate the best of African music.
The event has featured some of the continent’s most celebrated artists, including Hugh Masekela, Femi Kuti, Freddie Meiway, Kanda Bongoman, Amakye Dede, and Daddy Lumba among others.
This year’s edition was headlined by South African Legend Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Ghana’s George Jahraa, Okyeame Kwame and Adane Best.
One of the highlights of the event was the astonishing performance by Adane Best. Known for his deeply felt voice and traditional highlife style, the Highlife legend delivered an ensnaring set that included an unexpected twist.
Midway through his magnificent performance, he removed his shirt, revealing his ‘6-pack’ physique to the stunned audience.
The gesture was a departure from his usual reserved demeanour, and it quickly became a talking point of the night.
