A TikTok celebrity, Odesanmi Opeyemi, better known as Oloba Salo, was shot by an unknown gunman in the Lekki area of Lagos state on Thursday, October 10.
Salo was said to have been attacked while driving his white SUV around Tantalizer Junction, Lekki.
A viral video shows the aftermath of the attack, with a voice claiming “This is Salo’s car you can see it yourself. You think it is a joke. This is his blood here”.
The video shows the content creator’s vehicle with two bullet casings on the driver’s seat and bloodstains.
Passersby claimed an individual posing as a beggar approached Salo’s vehicle and opened fire when he rolled down his window.
Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said Salo is receiving medical attention.
He added that the police have commenced an investigation into the matter.
