American comedian and actor Michael Blackson, who is of Ghanaian descent, has announced his intention to sue the Ghanaian Ministry of Finance over the loss of his Eurobond investment.

Blackson invested to fund his free school, the Michael Blackson Academy, located in Agona Nsaba.

In a series of posts on X, Blackson expressed his frustration and disappointment with the government’s handling of the Eurobond.

He stated that the investment was intended to provide long-term financial support for his school, but the government’s decision to use the funds to pay off debts has left him with no choice but to seek legal action.

Michael Blackson’s announcement comes after he previously shared his concerns about the Eurobond investment on social media.

He had invested in the bonds with the belief that they would offer a stable return, but he has encountered difficulties in recouping his funds. He criticized the government for prioritizing debt payments over the interests of investors.

The comedian’s legal threat adds to the growing scrutiny facing the Ghanaian government over its handling of the Eurobond crisis.
