Veteran Ghanaian actor, Kofi Adjorlolo, has expressed his disbelief in the existence of “juju” in the movie industry.
In an interview with Nana Baffour, Adjorlolo rejected the notion stating that such supernatural powers also known as ‘juju’ determine the success or failure of individuals in the Ghanaian film industry.
“I don’t believe there is juju in the movie industry. It’s just a claim. It does not exist” he said.
Kofi Adjorlolo’s comments come amid ongoing discussions where several actors and industry figures have reported experiences of spiritual attacks in the entertainment world.
The veteran actor, who is highly respected in both Ghanaian and Nigerian film circles, stressed that he has never encountered such issues in his lengthy career.
He suggested that claims of “juju” are likely exaggerated or based on personal misunderstandings.
His perspective is however different from other actors, including prominent figures like Yvonne Nelson and Kalybos, who have spoken publicly about their experiences with supposed juju attacks on movie sets.
