Legendary music producer, Appietus born Appiah Dankwah has disclosed that getting Grammy Awards nominations depends on having friends who can recommend your works.
“As for the Grammys it is an academy of peers who are friends and people who know each other and they sit down and nominate their friends,” he told Amansan Krakye.
According to the renowned sound engineer, Rocky Dawuni has been nominated constantly because he’s got peers inducted among the academy members.
He stated “Basically that’s what it is so if you’re not part of the academy or you don’t have friends there you can’t be nominated because you’ve to be inducted into it.
