Entertainment entrepreneur and politician Baba Sadiq has been declared the newly elected MP for Okaikwei Central.
Baba Sadiq won the seat with 15,383 votes while the incumbent MP, Patrick Boamah polled 14, 949 votes.
The entertainment entrepreneur was declared winner of the Okaikwei Central seat after hours of confrontations and arguments at the Greater Accra Regional Collation Centre.
Scores of NDC supporters from the Okaikwei Central thronged the collation centre to show support for Baba Sadiq after issues of result manipulation and attempts to rig the elections.
After hours of back and forth at the collation centre with the NDC alleging that there was an attempt to swap a pink sheet to favour the NPP candidate, Patrick Boamah.
Addressing the media after his declaration, Baba Sadiq expressed gratitude to his constituents for the victory.
