Davido’s statement comes as he gears up for the release of his fifth studio album, 5IVE, scheduled to debut in March 2025.
Widely celebrated for his international success, Davido has been instrumental in catapulting Afrobeats to global recognition.
His latest single, “Funds,” has already generated buzz online, and his collaboration with international artists has helped bridge the gap between Afrobeats and global music.
In an Instagram post, Davido wrote, “Afrobeats can’t be brought up without my name. Impossible. The genre-defying pioneer has brought his sound to the attention of millions, and with his new album ‘5ive’ coming March 2025, he truly has the world at his feet”.
