Popular Ghanaian rapper Medikal has opened up about a recent misunderstanding with fellow musician Kofi Kinaata, revealing that the two had a minor fallout over Medikal’s failure to perform at Kinaata’s headline concert, “Made in Taadi.”

The revelation came during Medikal’s own “Beyond Kontrol” concert, held on December 26, where the rapper shared his side of the story and extended a public apology to Kofi Kinaata.

Medikal explained that he was unable to perform at Kinaata’s “Made in Taadi” concert due to a scheduling conflict and a lapse in memory. According to him, his busy schedule caused him to forget about the event, a situation he said he deeply regretted.

“I forgot to play some show for my bro Kofi Kinaata because then something was happening, and man forgot a bit,” Medikal admitted on stage. “As I couldn’t go, I saw that he unfollowed me. But you see, Kofi Kinaata is somebody I love, so I watched the thing like he was hurt.”

In a heartfelt gesture, Medikal used the platform of his “Beyond Kontrol” concert to express his remorse to Kofi Kinaata and assureed fans that their friendship remained intact.

The “La Hustle” hitmaker promised to make up for his absence by attending the next edition of “Made In Taadi” and contributing to its success.

“Kofi Kinaata, I apologise,” he said. “Next year, Made In Taadi, we go do it again, greater. You should follow me back, I won’t unfollow you.”

Interestingly, Kofi Kinaata had a lighthearted response to Medikal’s comments, adding a humorous twist to the situation.

Ah Donzy paa ,me the only thing wey ego make I unfollow @Medikalbyk be when he talk for somewhere say he go score me for fifa, That one dier i cld hv kill a lot, aside that, nothing!! Why i for unffollow MDK? like i go take block u rather. https://t.co/4iiJ73Chzh

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Kinaata clarified that he had not unfollowed Medikal because of the missed performance. Instead, he joked that he would only unfollow Medikal if the rapper claimed he could beat him in a FIFA video game match.

“The only thing that will make me unfollow Medikal is when he talks somewhere that he will score me in FIFA,” Kinaata wrote, injecting a playful note into the ongoing conversation.
