Tensions between Ghanaian music duo DopeNation and highlife artist Kuami Eugene have resurfaced, with DopeNation taking to X to respond to past remarks made by Kuami Eugene following their departure from Lynx Entertainment.
After exiting the label, Kuami Eugene suggested in an interview that the departure of Dope Nation meant fewer artists would have to share resources at Lynx Entertainment.
His comments implied that their exit was beneficial to those who remained.
In a fresh twist, DopeNation has now fired back with a series of posts on X, making direct references to Kuami Eugene.
The group alluded to what it called the “Lynx curse,” hinting that Kuami Eugene may now be facing challenges alone.
The group’s remarks followed a recent interview by Lynx Entertainment’s CEO, Richie Mensah, in which he stated that the label’s 360 deals currently include KiDi, DJ Vyrusky, and DSL—excluding Kuami Eugene.

In a final dig, they referenced past allegations of song appropriation.
“Ps: Don’t go and steal someone’s song.”
The online feud has sparked significant debate among fans and industry observers, with opinions divided over who is in the right.
This latest dispute adds to a growing list of public confrontations in Ghana’s music scene, highlighting ongoing tensions between artists who have shared professional ties. Whether this will escalate further or remain a social media spat remains to be seen.
