The St. Augustine Old Students Union (APSU) marked its 90th anniversary with a grand Dinner and Awards Night held at the Ridge Arena, Alisa Hotel.

The event brought together past students, families, and supporters of the renowned institution for an evening of reflection, honor, and camaraderie.

The evening kicked off with an air of excitement and anticipation as alumni, spanning several generations, gathered to celebrate the union’s rich history and remarkable impact on the lives of its members.

The dinner portion of the evening offered a chance for attendees to reconnect with old friends and make new acquaintances. The room buzzed with nostalgia as alumni shared stories of their time at St. Augustine’s, recounting cherished memories and experiences that shaped their lives.

Many expressed how the foundation laid by their alma mater had paved the way for their professional and personal successes. The event wasn’t just a celebration of the past but also a reflection of how the institution continues to shape the future.

The highlight of the evening was the awards segment, where outstanding alumni were recognised for their significant achievements in various fields. The awards served as a tribute to the continued excellence of St. Augustine’s, and the recipients represented the diverse talents and contributions that have come from the institution over the decades. From academia to business, the honorees demonstrated the powerful impact of an education at St. Augustine’s and how its values continue to resonate through the alumni network.

The awards ceremony was filled with moments of emotion as several recipients shared heartfelt speeches, expressing gratitude for their time at the institution and the role it played in shaping their character. It was a reminder that the legacy of St. Augustine’s extends far beyond the classroom and into the professional and personal lives of its graduates.

As the evening drew to a close, the sense of pride and community was palpable. The 90th anniversary celebration not only honored the past but also looked toward the future, with plans to strengthen the bond between alumni and current students. The St. Augustine Old Students Union remains a vibrant and integral part of the school’s community, continuing to support its alma mater and foster connections among its members.

The event was a beautiful testament to the lasting impact of St. Augustine’s and the importance of maintaining strong connections within its alumni network. It’s clear that the Old Students Union will continue to thrive, ensuring that the legacy of St. Augustine’s lives on for generations to come.
