Channel One TV and Citi 97.3 FM have officially launched Heritage Month 2025, a celebration dedicated to showcasing and preserving Ghana’s rich cultural heritage.

The launch event, held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the Tesano Gardens of Channel One TV, brought together key industry stakeholders, traditional leaders, and cultural enthusiasts.

The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Dzifa Abla Gomashie, who served as the Guest of Honour, applauded Channel One TV for spearheading the initiative and using its platform to promote Ghanaian culture.

According to her, the initiative is a great example of how media can play a pivotal role in preserving and promoting Ghanaian heritage.

She commended Channel One TV’s efforts in ensuring that Ghana’s cultural identity is celebrated and embraced.

A Celebration Beyond History

Heritage Month is not just about acknowledging historical milestones—it serves as a dynamic platform for Ghanaians to immerse themselves in the diverse and colorful aspects of their heritage.

Throughout March 2025, a lineup of exciting activities and programs will invite audiences to explore various elements of Ghana’s identity.

Heritage Caravan Kicks Off the Festivities

The Heritage Caravan, a flagship event of Heritage Month, will officially commence on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

This eight-day road trip will take participants, affectionately called “Caravanites,” on a thrilling journey across 14 regions of Ghana, offering them an immersive cultural, historical, and natural experience.

Beginning in the Greater Accra Region, this year’s Heritage Caravan itinerary promises new twists and exciting additions, giving travelers an unforgettable adventure through Ghana’s diverse landscapes and traditions.

Preserving Ghana’s Cultural Legacy

As Ghanaians come together to celebrate Heritage Month, Channel One TV and Citi FM reaffirm their commitment to entertaining, educating, and strengthening national unity through cultural expression.

Heritage Month 2025 stands as a testament to the significance of preserving and passing on the stories, rituals, and legacies that shape Ghana’s vibrant and diverse identity.
