Renowned entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Bills Micro-Credit, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, has expressed profound gratitude to one of his former lecturers in the United Kingdom for playing a pivotal role in his journey to success.
In a recent interview with Bola Ray, the mogul shared a transformative experience from his time at the London College of Accountancy.
Recalling a conversation with his lecturer, Michael Mainwaring, Richard disclosed how a simple yet powerful piece of advice reshaped his future.
According to him, Mainwaring pulled him aside after class one day and asked, “Richard, what are your plans after school?” At the time, Quaye admitted he was uncertain about his next steps.
However, his lecturer had an entirely different vision for him.
“He [Michael Mainwaring] told me, I strongly believe that if you return home, you’ll achieve far greater success than if you stay here. One day, your accomplishments will be so remarkable that you’ll come back to the UK—not as a student, but in your private jet, just to visit me.”
Those words left an indelible mark on Richard, fueling his determination and shaping his ambitious approach to business.
Now, as he reaches the milestone age of 40, the businessman is not only reflecting on his achievements but also making a bold move—retirement.
“This is a significant moment for me. I’ve always planned to retire at 40,” he disclosed, highlighting his strategic approach to wealth creation and long-term financial planning.
