Ghana has always been known for its rich musical culture and talent.

Today, a new generation of young and promising artistes is emerging, ready to take the music scene by storm.

Here are the top 10 young Ghanaian artistes you should definitely keep an eye on:

 

Arathejay

Genre: Highlife, Afrobeat

Arathejay is making waves with his unique blend of Highlife and Afrobeats. His distinct sound and style have earned him a loyal fan base, and he is showing no signs of slowing down.

He ended 2024 with a top-charting song featuring Black Sherif “Jesus christ II”

 

Kojo Blak

Genre: Afrobeats

Kojo Blak is known for his smooth delivery. With a knack for catchy hooks and deep lyrics, he is carving a path for himself in the Ghanaian music scene and is truly becoming a force to be reckoned with.

He has a major hit with Kelvyn Boy titled “Excellent,” which is making significant waves in Ghana and beyond.

 

Lali x Lola

Genre: Afrofusion

This musical duo is known for their Afro-fusion style, blending Afrobeat, Afro-soul, and pop influences to create vibrant and soulful music.

They have been nominated for Best New Artiste and Best Music Group at the 26th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

 

Blakid Music

Genre: Rapper

Blakid has taken the Ga dialect and made it his own after breaking through with a freestyle delivery that made him a fan favorite. His ability to blend traditional rap with trap beats and modern influences gives him a unique edge.

He was recently recruited by Shatta Wale for the “Accra Invasion Project.”

His song “Knees and Bend” from his recent EP made it to the Swedish Cup.

Kiki Celine

Genre: Afro Soul / RnB 

Kiki Celine’s soulful voice and pop sensibilities are gaining traction in the Ghanaian music scene.

She recently won the Afrofuture 2024 Rising Star award.

Josh Blakk


Genre: Afrosoul

His music blends Afrobeat, soul, and highlife, creating a unique style he calls “High-Soul.”

Josh Blak was selected by Apple Music for their Up Next project alongside Burna Boy and Tems in 2014

Sh3lter 

Genre: Afrosoul /Afrofusion

Sh3lter has a unique way of crafting her songs, blending the local Ewe dialect with Afro-inspired styles to create soul stirring music.

Sh3lter currently has a new song with Bisa Kdei.
